Running Socks

STOP WEARING COTTON SOCKS!

And wear socks that will be nice to your feet! Finding the perfect pair of running socks can be a challenge. It’s hard to find the right combination of material to be warm, prevent blisters and chafing. It took me a long time and trial and error to find the right brand/ material for me! Here are some tips to help you find the right socks without wasting time and money!

☑️ Material is IMPORTANT❗️AVOID cotton socks – they will absorb an incredible amount of water and will cause blisters. DO wear Merino wool – can wear all year round because the material can regulate temperature, move moisture and resist odors!

☑️ Cushioning MATTERS ❗️extra cushion can make your shoe feel more snug as the extra material takes up more room. I have very narrow feet and love extra cushion to help fill in the small, blister-prone gaps.

☑️ Height is important ❗️the taller the sock the more your ankles are protected from road and trail debris. The taller the sock, the more it protects your shoes. Shorter socks can cause friction around the heel, wearing away the inside material of the shoe.

My go-to socks are Feetures and Brooks! Still new to Brooks but Feetures have carried me through many marathons!
