AirPod Hack

I have a hard time keeping my AirPods in my ears. I have a much smaller ear and ear canal than most people. For reference, the rubber tip at the end of my AirPods are an extra small 😅.

I don’t always run with my AirPods – only if it’s a run more than 13-15 miles. But when I do, I often struggle to keep them in! In the winter, I wear a sweat band designed to lay over my ears to keep my ears warm. This is an incredible and easy way to keep the AirPods in my ears in the winter. For those summer months when the ear warmer is no longer needed, I used to have a hard time finding a solution. There are ear attachments designed to hook to your AirPods and wrap around your ear. However, before you jump to that option, try the twistie tie method! This is an amazing, budget-friendly solution!

Here is how to do it ⤵️

1️⃣ Take the twistie tie and twist it around the stem of the AirPod. Make sure you twist it tight so it creates a firm hold on the AirPod.

2️⃣ Take the free end of the twistie tie and wrap it around the top and back of your ear. Take an extra moment to mold it around the back of your ear to create a firm hold.

✨TIP: don’t be afraid to bend and flex the twistie tie; this is how it will create a solid fit on your ear and AirPod!
