What is your running style?

Did you know that everyone has their is own, unique running style? [I didn’t know when I started running years ago!] This is one factor that can help guide you to choose the correct running shoe! 👟 

There are 3 different ways your feet hit the ground:

✅ Neutral [pronation]- your foot lands on the outer edge and rotates inward, helping to absorb shock. 

✅ Supination (also known as underpronation) – your foot lands on the outer edge at a sharp angle with little to no rotation inward.

✅ Pronation (also known as overpronation) – as your foot lands it rotates inward significantly. Most people overpronate! CAN BE seen in runners with low arches ‼️

Which one are you? Here is how to find out!

•Sign up for gait analysis at your local running store (may come with extra cost)

•Recruit a friend! [my favorite option] Ask a friend to video tape your gait and compare to this video!

•Refer to my previous blog post about learning your arch! This CAN help you determine your style.
