One time, I ran an entire marathon in pouring, flooding rain. I LOVE running in the rain (who is with me? ππΌββοΈ) but this marathon pushed me beyond my comfort zone. By the end, everything was soaking wet, especially my shoes. I quickly learned this trick and it saved the life of my shoes!
If you are a runner, trail runner, hiker, or someone who knows what itβs like to be caught in a summer rain storm, you are going to need this tip! This is a proven method to drying out your sneakers while also protecting the integrity of the shoe.Β
Remove the insoles or inserts of your shoes and set aside to dry separately. Take newspaper and stuff it inside your shoes. Put as much newspaper as you can into the shoes. The newspaper will absorb the water while maintaining the shape of your shoes. Let it dry for at least 12 hours. Your shoes may need more or less time depending on your drying location and how wet the shoes were prior to placing the newspaper.
Tell me your go-to trick for drying out your shoes! β¬οΈ
